I was born in London but moved to Bournemouth when I was 10. After a turbulent adolescence, I completed my education and, after a short time in Oxford, I returned to London to work predominantley in politics and journalism. My last job in London was amazing. I was working directly for Karren Brady and only returned to Bournemouth to have my son James. On seeing my son, I knew that I wanted to spend as much time as possible with him so I remained in Bournemouth to be closer to my family. In the years that followed, I studied Reiki, went on to qualify as an English Language teacher, taught in a Language school and opened a small cleaning company, where I hired mainly single parents. Following a number of life challenges during this time, I decided that it was time for me and James to start a new life in Spain, where I bought furniture shops. I married in 2001 and had my daughter, Phoenix in 2002.
Following the death of my husband in 2011, some were surprised that I did not return to the UK to live, but I love the warmth of Spain both in its climate and its culture, and it is my family’s home. Instead, I began to take back my power and although the journey hasn’t been easy I’ve learnt valuable lessons along the way.
In 2012 I finally wrote a book, something I’d wanted to do all my life. My debut novel was in the crime genre, but I didn’t have the courage to publish it until 2017. Apart from my activities connected to spiritualism, my hobbies include travel, meeting people, family, reading, swimming, horses, dogs, music, guitar, art, the outdoors, cooking, gardening, writing, meditation and so much more. The spiritual life of Native American Indians and other indigenous cultures has inspired me and guides me. One of my key interests is raising awareness of domestic violence and female human trafficking along with doing my part towards saving the planet.
