Your energy has immense power

Hello Amazing Soul,

Have you ever thought about energy?  Everything is energy – we are energy and everything around us is energy.  Energy can be seen in many forms, for example in other people, trees, plants, animals, spaces, objects, buildings, the natural elements etc, but it can’t always be seen, and yet it’s always there.  You can’t see atoms, molecules or your thoughts, for example.  All this energy, within us and around us, vibrates at different frequencies.

One of the most basic laws of the universe is the law of vibration  (the law of attraction comes within this law.)  The law of vibration states that everything is moving and nothing rests.  Understanding the law of vibration is paramount for your health and life in general because your vibrations create your reality.

Whatever you think or say, consciously or subconsciously, gives off vibrations and the universe acts accordingly.  When your vibrations are operating at a higher frequency you attract things into your life that you consider favorable, but when they are working on a lower frequency you attract things less favorable.

When you activate your brain cells a vibration occurs. In order to take control of your life and live the life you desire you have to understand the law of vibration.

You often hear people talking about negative and positive energy, but they don’t always understand it and therefore don’t get very far with the law of attraction.

As mentioned earlier, your thoughts and words, both conscious and subconscious, vibrate.  If you are feeling sad, angry, hurt, have low self-esteem etc, your vibration will be low and you won’t be able to live a fulfilled life.  On the other hand, if you are feeling happy and confident etc, your vibration is running on a higher frequency which opens the gateway for you to live a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

In theory all this sounds great and easy to sort out but we have an ego and the ego doesn’t make life easy.  The ego is responsible for numerous blocks that prevent us from allowing our authentic life.  These can have originated from a cruel remark someone said to you in the playground, childhood, past traumas, current traumas, relationships, career, addictions, loss,  etc the list is endless.  We’ll look at the ego and blocks at a later date.

For now, remember that you are not your thoughts and that you have the power within you to change them.

I know you want to have a happier and more fulfilled life so here are a few ways to raise your vibes that are available to anyone at any time. 

Gratitude

Whether your life is going smoothly or your life is in chaos, take a step back and practice gratitude.  Whatever your life is like at this moment, it is easy to lose sight of gratitude until it’s established into your way of life.

I know there can be times when you feel that the Universe is out to get you (which it really isn’t!) but think of the things you have.  For example, if you are reading this, you have woken up today and have access to electricity etc.

Today, think of between 3 and 10 things you are grateful for and why.

Breathing Techniques

Do you ever take time to watch your breathing? It’s really quite amazing – have you noticed how it changes depending on your emotional state? It’s a good idea to check in with your breathing – since it is a requirement to living.

There are numerous breathing techniques that are used for a variety of issues and they are used in yoga.  Some techniques are the box method, mindful breathing, and the 4,7,8 technique.

If you are feeling stressed out, sad, angry etc, try relaxing your shoulders and take a deep breath in from your abdomen and through your nose.  Notice how your lungs expand.  The length of this breath should not be uncomfortable.  Hold your breath for a count of 5  (or less if necessary) and then breathe out slowly and steadily.  Repeat until you feel more relaxed.

Meditation

There are a number of types of meditation including mindfulness, spiritual, focused, movement, mantra, visualisation, transcendental, loving-kindness …  not all meditations are suitable for everyone and the one chosen will depend on your needs.

If you are feeling that your vibes are low, or heading that way, try out a visualisation meditation.  This is where you close your eyes, calm your breathing and visualise your ‘happy place.’  using all your senses.  Be in your ‘happy place.’  As you breathe in, visualise harmony and peace entering you and as you breathe out visualise all toxic and negative energy leaving you.

Affirmations

Affirmations are positive statements set in the present but the trick is you have to believe them.

So for example, if you feel you are overweight and hate your body, saying ‘I love my beautiful body’ won’t work.  Try using something like ‘I am worthy of being happy, healthy and beautiful.’

As you can see there are some simple ways to raise your vibrations, which is just as well since your vibrations attract vibrations of the same frequency, and that affects your life.  You can choose your vibration to reflect the life you want.

By understanding your energy system a little more and the immense power it has and then acting accordingly, you are a step closer to living a fulfilled life.
